I have run into a few as well, I have always wondered if many of them are not working for the .gov. Jim and Nancy come to mind, both came across as mentally ill, they did plenty of stupid stuff, but they never got vacuumed up. However others in their circle were vacuumed up. The group they were involved in was ARM/American Resistance Movement, who's membership was primarily adolescents who made UW videos. Many of these people were rolled up by
Ty Cescek in a Time Magazine OP. Jim and Nancy skipped the Time Magazine op. Jim continues too reinvent himself and Nancy won a huge law suit against a city back East.
Closer to home, a person started a State Militia around 2008 when Zero took office. The initial intent was pretty much a club that met up from time to time to shoot guns. It never really took off, and it blew up when some wanted to sport official uniforms rather than the modest approach of hiding in plan sight.
Neither was organized like Antifa, BLM, DSA, etc. and neither posed a real threat to anyone but themselves.
