So I literally had a doctor try to bully me into getting swabbed for china virus today.
Past few days felt like I had a sinus infection (mild symptoms: sinus headache, stuffy nose and my left ear feels blocked) Today I decided to go into the convenient care office to see what's what.
Dr walks in after 45 minutes (no other cars in the lot, was he at lunch?), so what's going on? I explain my symptoms. How often do you get these? I don't know maybe once a year. Why did you take Zyrtec? (are you kidding me right now?) Because I have a sinus headache why else would I take it? Ma'am am just trying to diagnose you. Ok sure. How long have you had an earache? I don't have one, I said it was kind of plugged up.
Looks in my ear, no wax build up, no fluid but says it is a bit red and inflamed.
Wait for it...here it comes...I shit you not: "Well I think we should swab you for covid. We are seeing these symptoms in positive patients." Really?
So I say thanks but no thank you. "Well you could have it and be infecting everyone you come into contact with." Yeah, well you're not going to guilt or bully me into helping you make me a statistic. Just give me the med list.
He comes back and sits in his little chair and ROLLS OVER TO WITHIN 2 FEET OF ME and starts going over the instructions. (steriod ear drop for the inflammation which is fine and flonase, which I will not use)
So doc if you think I have the virus shouldn't we be 6ft apart? Crickets. I took the paperwork and he again said well I really think you should get swabbed. Yeah I get that but no.
On top of it all he was the rudest SOB I've had the displeasure of interacting with. Obvious God complex.
