The PPE requirements at the Trauma Center are R I D I C U L O U S despite only having FOUR cases in the entire hospital. eyeglasses PLUS goggles, N95 PLUS a cloth mask, head covering, 2 gowns, 2 pairs gloves, bootie covers.
The EMS guys around here followed our lead and have sewn buttons on their ball caps to hook the earlobes around. Everyone was getting some SERIOUS skin breakdown behind the ears...we still have it nose and cheeks - but the ear thing seems handled now.
