This is how it ends up, I'm becoming more and more convinced we're doomed as a functioning republic. The absolute best we can hope for at this point is a small-scale (Bloody) revolution followed up by a renaissance period that comes about because of the ART V provision in the USC. I agree Rep Adam Schiff keeps calling this country a "democracy". He knows we are a republic but keeps using that word over and over.
