I'm with 19th SFG and have served with 19th in several states through out my career.

I would suggest first, is find out what states do the NG SF Rep-63 program and then pick a state with low travel costs for obvious financial reasons. Some of the larger NG SF states have barracks where the soldiers can stay during drill weekends. NGB is coming up with a IDT travel plan to off set travel for out of state commuters, but I haven't seen the policy letter yet.
