(I used to truck it with my dad in the 80s and it's not changed at all.) It should have been upgraded to 4-6 lanes each way years ago. Where's the budget for that, Kalifornia??

A year ago we traveled I-5 at Christmas and it took hours longer because of an accident. I had plenty of time to read the billboards every 2-3 miles - billboards that touted how great the new high speed rail would be, how convenient, how fast, how much better it was than sitting in traffic on I-5.

That high speed rail money would have been better spent on I-5 upgrades.

And after holidays!

This is a leftist attack on automobiles.

Also, I think a lot of this is just a land grab. As people leave the state and crime and homelessness increases people, like me, will be willing to sell their homes for less just to be done with the place. We left $250k to $300k behind just because we were desperate to be done with that state.
