I grew up with the same advice on dogs during deer season.
The pic in the first article looks like a regular coyote that we shoot out here as often as possible. I will definitely have to research these things a little more. Wolves are now legal to hunt here in Montana as their population is increasing......wonder if this evolvement will happen here.
