Ignore? Hell, he baited them to do exactly that! They're institutions are looking like fools and becoming self marginalizing. The more they double down by increasing the antics like we have seen and are hearing, they will ultimately implode and become mere noise in the background.
I will venture to say these are SF style tactics executed with precision.
