I don't follow the AL too much because they play that other game (with 10 guys in a line-up). But it seems there is a similar situation in the AL as the NL had last year with 2 Wild Cards in the same division. The Texas Rangers will have to handle some runner-ups potentially ruining what's been a fine season for them.
(There was much gnashing of teeth up here amongst Brewers fans when they let one of their anchor-stakes go to Texas - a syndrome of bleeding talent that Cubs fans over the years recognized all too well.)
But there is still the potential to have a Series running between the last 2 classic ball-parks remaining, if Boston can pull it off. As to who comes to Wrigley on Friday after the SF / NY game Wednesday - meh, I'll go do some PM.
