The Afghan food that I ate was delicious as it was simple. I'll admit to eating at Afghan restaurants from time to time. Brings back memories. I ate the no kidding simple food and loved it. Expecially the bread. I also had dinner at a long table headed by Gen Dostum where we got the best that could be provided at the time (I let the conventional force US COL's have the seats next to him and I sat down-table... but the bearded American(s) still got a head nod...he knew..)

I'll have to admit that I thought that the "secret food" was the human fecal matter that was mixed into the dust that we breathed and ate.
