I joined this board more than a few years ago but never introduced myself or posted. Based on the profile names on here I know many of you because I see code names that I recognize from my time in C/3/7 when it was still on Ft Davis in the early '90s. Or maybe that's just a coincidence...

Anyway, I spent from 1985-2001 in 7th Gp and from 2001-2004 in USASOC on the staff and then retired in Oct 2004. Way back in the day when they still existed, I spent from 1980 to 1985 in he 11th SFG reserves. For the last 12 years I've done both the contracting thing and the GS thing (currently still doing the GS thing). Where I work now I'm surrounded by a bunch of civilian engineer types who couldn't spell Army or Special Forces (figuratively anyway) if their lives depended on it. It's a totally different culture and one I've always struggled to adapt to. As we get older it's amazing how much I miss the people and culture that were the influences that shaped who I turned out to be. So, I thought I'd login and say hey. Maybe participate a bit.
