Until we develop a coherent plan to eliminate ISIS and have the resolve to see it through, it doesn't matter what hardware we use to chip against the edges of ISIS.
Admitting the A-10 needs to stay around longer for this fight is really more of a strategic admission that western leaders are unwilling to commit to crushing ISIS quickly. Containment and attrition seem to be the idea d'jour, never mind the buggers may squirt out to some other wasteland and set up shop. If we're going to fight, we should fight to win.
