I have a Shield in .40 S&W that has been sent back two times and will be sent back again for Failure to Feed issues. I don't trust the gun.
I have an XDS in .45 that has had no issues. Side by side the guns seem to be almost exactly the same size. I haven't put as many rounds through the XDS but I have more faith in it than the Shield.
