I'd be careful using that word as well.
When broken down ... Per - Son ... it has the root word
... son ... which we all know, denotes a male of parental lineage, which will undoubtedly upset someone, some day ... if they're not already.
As to note, you must also be careful in using the word Human ... It too has
that word in it ...
