I beleive he loves communism and that he could care less about the land mass that is under his feet or the name of that land mass. The "fundamental transformation" speech was his indicator of what his first love is. He may love the USA (land under his feet), as long as it is a communist state. At present, I don't think he likes it much. His wife also relayed that same sentiment. She can finally love the country because it is getting changed into the communist state they desire.
