RL, how much of the 20lbs was body fat, and how much was the extra water required by the body to properly break down complex proteins? How long have you been off the diet? I'm not disputing that a low-carb diet works, but the results are normally short-term (20 off, 10 back) as folks can't sustain that lifestyle for a significant period of time, you're really stressing your kidneys, and no one seems to have decent long-term effects studies. As with other things in life, the quick fix is rarely the right solution to the problem.
