I ran one on my Combat belt that ran sideways. I carried it sideways so I could get a mag while lying in the prone position. I had no need to do a half push up to get to it.
The FastMag was the ones I used, they were good and you could adjust the tension for holding the M-4 mags. Everything has their PROs and CONs.
