Of course I'd try one at the range (were I given one to test) to confirm but my assumptions are:
1-It's heavier and bulkier than the nylon it replaces-deal breaker for kit. We go lighter and smaller with new technology, not the other way around.
2-Retainers, both for the mag and for the molle may break-nylon mag pouches are more of a wear-out item in my experience.
3-If you mount the mags upside down you are pulling away from the gun and below your waist during a reload-why add that additional complication?
4-It's one more hard thing for your rifle or whatever else you're carrying to bump into and make noise if mounted on your plate carrier. Having a layer or two of nylon over your mags helps with that.

They may be somehow better than the currently common BladeTech et al range belt mag carriers, I don't know. Seems like a gimmick. I would be very surprised if anyone preferred them on a vest.
