Had to sit through this lecture at my university the other day by a Catholic nun. It was a lecture on the "Common good" which is the theme of my school. She mentioned " why should nationalism end at the borders?" and talked about an end to war through taking care of our "neighbors" a'la the good Samaritan. Didn't mean much at the time but it seemed strange. The slide show at the end of the lecture had pictures of people around the world "we are all son's and daughter's of God" African babies, American children, native Americans....and a picture of militants in front of one of those black flags. No joke. All they need is love?
