There were weekly protests against the School of the Americas at the college I attended in the mid 90's - though most of the participants could not tell you what/where this "school" was.
On a side note, the only shot glass I have ever owned was a gift from a college buddy who returned from airborne school. It had the SOA logo and I always laughed when using it, thinking about the hippy protesters. This past winter my wife killed it in the garbage disposal.
