I was working in Saudi Arabia just last year and in dealing mostly with young Arab males I learned a lot. The ones who have done a little traveling and who have seen what the rest of the world is like have been "enlightend" so to speak. They seemed to be the ones who questioned their religion the most. I was told by a number of them that they basically hate their culture but they conform to it because they have to. I even saw a leather clad biker club there made up entirely of young Arab males who were all riding brand new Harleys.
Another fact to consider is that something like 50% of the population in that part of the world are under 20 years old. From what I could see, six to eight children is the norm in Arab families. Unlike the older hardcore members of their culture they have the Internet. I'll wager that in the coming decades, the younger generations are going to throw off the archaic and repressive yoke that is Islam.
