Approaching this issue, as it unravels today, is the most surrealistic thing I've experienced of late.
We're ignoring the obvious physiological differences between the sex's as if that isn't an issue in combat.
Convoy combat/base camp combat (what most females have experienced) IS COMBAT...no argument. However, it is physically easy combat except for the stress of the actual moment/event.
No one is humping heavy rucks for days at altitude near dehydration limits.
No one is sweating in the jungles doing the same and getting 4 hours of sleep for days on end. THEN YOU FIGHT...at your most tired, spent, wore ass out.
The contact is generally at a distance with no major foot maneuver.
I drove a car pretty fast once.....I think I should be able to compete in Formula 1.
About the same analogy.
