America's public, private, and home school elementry, junior high, and high school populations exceed 56 million students and 3 million educators. Wthout knowing the full background on any of those pieces, one can make many assumptions - to include that perhaps their intentions were good but poorly executed, especially when they lack but minimal context surrounded by obfuscating layers of professed umbrage. Things like that can happen and when they do, as was the case with the JHS in WI, merit review and corrective action when necessary.

It would be interesting to know the whole story and the final outcome on those other situations as well.

Education is an active community endeavor, and the amount of active involvement at all levels of our communities has an impact and varies as greatly as our community involvement in our political processes at all levels of government. Some communities excel and others struggle, and the reasons are myriad and complicated. However, we can rest assured that the blogosphere will be sure to highlight any real or perceived shortcomings...especially if it involves notoriety, money, or some sort of politically motivated machination.

And so it goes...
