My name is Michael, and I have recently joined the U.S. Army as a Special Forces recruit. I have spent the majority of my summer researching Special Forces, and thinking about my future and whether or not I see myself being a part of such an elite brotherhood. I have come to the conclusion that I cannot settle for anything less from myself than the excellence and professionalism that is lived by you gentlemen every day. I am not saying that I have what it takes to be in Special Forces, as that is a tremendous honor I have not yet earned. I just want to make it clear that I take my decision to pursue a career in SF very seriously, and I am dedicating every waking moment to achieving this goal.
