I've become a fan of piston guns. I go to the range with my LWRC and a pistol and wind up spending more time cleaning the pistol than the rifle.
I always liked the M4 for the AR platform it is built on, but I think there are ways that the design can be improved without developing a whole new rifle.
I'm in agreement that the ammo definitely needs to be upgraded.
