We had a Sikh in B/2/20 back in the early '80's, an 18E first name Sevak. He was of Irish descent and converted to Sihkism at some point In his prior life. He wore a reddish beard and turban with the flash dead center above his forehead like a jewel. My understanding was that Mad Max and Tom T had great sport with him at Phase 1, always wondering when they they started letting hippies in SF. So there is a precedent in SF, per above article's description of regs at the time.
