Spent a week in Colorado with my 13 year-old visiting a few close friends, most of that time was spent camping near Lone Cone.
Had the bonus of a friend who rarely joins us, as he's spent the majority of the last 21 years stationed or deployed overseas.
We were camping in the same area right before he enlisted; it seems just like yesterday.
The wife, 5 year-old, and 7 year-old went swimming today down at "The Chains" area of Lake Powell.
It's 3 miles from the house and the parking lot is right at the edge of the lake.
Temperature today was about 105 degrees and swimming sounded appealing, so I later joined them.
Only about 10 cars in the parking lot, could hear the kids laughing and playing from a distance.
Don't have to report back to work until July 15.
Life is good.
