The pleasures of Firewood

Both sons home at moment, Oldest waiting on College to start back up, and youngest just finished 10th grade. A local tree trimmer called, asked if I wanted 15-20 cords of firewood, he has a big job about 3 miles down the road from the house. We help cut and take the wood. He and his two helpers, drop all the trees, clean up all the brush, chips and hauls all the brush for my back wood trails.

The best part, we show up day two, he tells his helpers they need to work harder since my boys are unemployed, and are looking good for replacing them for the summer. They make me proud every day, but just something awesome about hearing it from others.

Then again it might just be my sons are just excited we are not dragging logs with the horses this time.
