Thirty-two years ago I was at Patch Barracks just up the road from Panzer Kaserne in Stuttgart and today I can still remember the sight and sound 1st Infantry Division M60s and M113s rolling down the German highway.
For anyone who can remember USAREUR during the Cold War it's kind of hard to imagine a Germany today with no American armored units.
