“There is always 3 sides to every story. Your side, their side and the TRUTH.”
We have Bryants side.
I just called Betty at Skydive Lake Wales and got her side.
Somewhere in there is the truth.
(My comments inside people quotes are in Parenthesis)
I started reading this guys blog and then over to his 503C website and the hairs on the back of my neck started to raise up. There are some things that don't add up with this guy.
I Then called Betty at SDLW and asked her to tell her side of the story and much of it is exactly they way it was put by Bryant EXCEPT for 2 details.
Quote:
From Bryant -- “The Muslim’s from Qatar saw that tattoo and complained to the drop-zone. Once they did so I was called to the back office and asked to cover it up by the owner.”
Bryant adds that he was offered duct tape to cover it and that he refused, saying it was nothing more than a tattoo saying “I am not a Muslim.” After a short time, he was asked to leave.
The long walk to his car being a “walk of shame” as he described it the email exchange.

Her story is that he asked a staff member the day prior if his tattoo would offend anyone if he wore shorts on the second day of jumping and was told that it might. He showed up the next day with shorts on.
No one jumped the second day for wx (not that that matters whether the jump occurred or not).
The Qatar General said it was offensive and she asked him to the office.
Betty said that she asked if he would cover the tattoo with some tape or duct tape. as "there is plenty of duct tape around for jumping and such" and that he was not asked to leave but that he just said he was going to leave and go jump near Tampa (assumed Z-Hills)
The exchange lasted about a minute and a half and she didn't think anything of it. (I asked if Bryant tried to make any arrangements to jump on other sticks or protest his 1st Amendment rights or anything she said no, he just left)
I hope I didn't over step my bounds but I asked her to come over to PS.com, get in touch with TS, and tell her side of the story. We'll see where that goes.
As for Eddie Bryant... I think we should take a closer look.
