My happy thought is that my horse survived being hit at around 45 MPH, roadside by a KIA on Sunday. The KIA passenger and driver are fine, no injuries. Kia not so much. Nino is so big the KIA's front end hit between his front and rear legs and Nino slid eight feet down the road, then fell over sideways onto the hood of the car. Nino has some minor cuts on his right rear leg joint and some lost hair on his right front shoulder. My saddle and the right side withers bag on my rifle scabbard lost some buckles and got scuffed up. I took him out for a led walk yesterday and he had minor stiffness of his rear right leg noticed. But he tried to trot to get to the other horses and then realized he was stiff and settled down. He looks like he will make a full recovery. We are more than words can describe thankful, that the driver, passenger, and Nino are all ok. I knew Nino was tough, but damn. (edited) I am fine also, was not mounted at the time.
