I live about 30 miles from Camp Minden. I felt the shock waves at my house. At the time, I thought it was thunder.
I woke up the next morning and the news was saying it was a meteorite. It took them 8 hours from the blast to figure out it was an explosion at Camp Minden. Officials postponed a news conference, then later canceled it all together. I thought it was strange, but I didn't want to break out the tin foil hat yet.
