Before one even gets to the next primary, a petulant party upstart can be frozen out on patronage, pork, and, potentially, committee work.
(And while I have no dog in the AZ fight, I'd be more likely to cross party lines to vote for a Democrat running for the senate than one running for the house. While she's rightly reviled, Ms. Pelosi is vastly under estimated as a parliamentarian. If she gets the speakership back, don't count on Democrats reaching across the aisle.
