Questionable Military Support
I have been able to be neutral in this farcical election year. It seemed that the President, while seemingly at least verbally support the military. Making multiple visits to various installations, Making numerous statements and speeches crediting the military for its professionalism, and the recognition of sacrifices made.
I cut him slack for not making a Normandy visit, maybe his aides forgot to tell him of the significance. In short, I supported him, for the sole reason as he represents the office of the CINC. While I will not denigrate his actions/lack of same, I feel he has let all of down.
By not addressing this very specific letter, treating it with a crass and demeaning response, is a clear slap to all of us who have served, and continue to serve. I will still respect the office, but he has personally lost my respect.
