I saw it happen in VN in '71 when U.S. ground combat units were leaving in significant numbers, tensions began to rise, and some of the ARVNs started assessing future probabilities. But the incidents were few, nothing like what we've been seeing from Afghanistan and that's extremely worrisome and I'm wondering if it portends an eventual uprising of some sort among Afghan forces.

I predicted to my men over three weeks ago that this very thing would continue to increase. If one thinks about it, it is a great strategy on their part. This will do for the Taliban what the IED did for AQ - and others - in Iraq, and they know it.
