It's got to have some adverse effects, even with guys who are solid; but if there's any inconsistency in different ANA units with regard to their level of dependability and trustworthyness--and I'm guessing there is--it'll be bad in the less dependable ones, and like poison in the ones tainted by corruption. It's enough just dealing with the enemy situation without having to worry about the guy behind you on the trail. Good luck and stay safe.
