I don't think there is a chance in hell for that to happen.
In fact, what I think will happen is the Dims will take their cue from the Republicans and more specifically the TeaPartiers and engage in the same obsrtuctions.
Going back a few years and speaking from my own experience: I was not to thrilled that (or how) GWBII was elected president. I was worried by his
activisit Vice President, dismayed by his confusion about the location of AQ (Afghanistan and Iraq), alarmed that the Military - who had just won the war in Iraq - was ignored when it came to winning the peace and creeped out by secret meeting with oil companies over government policy etc etc. . .
But, I didn't fight the
fact that he was the President nor did I doubt that what he was doing was in the best interest of the country as he saw it. I never stopped hoping he was right.
I can say without equivication that has not been the policy of the Republican Party and especially the TeaPartiers.
(Where the heck is my tin-foil hat . . . OH here it is! I'll go so far as to say that was the plan all along -- considering the Presidential and Vice President they ran in 2008)
And, Dusty, Where exactly will we be then?
