RL - fogetabout' about all the South Philly hype of Pats, Genos etc. IMHO the best place to get a great cheese steak is
CHICKIE & PETE'S. There are three in Philly - and they are always consistantly great. However, I must warn you that unless you get the crab fries with the cheese steak - you haven't lived. I always take visitors there, and could make a fortune if I honored every request to "send some of those cheese steak & crab fries things" OCONUS. They really are the working mans crack.
