As I suggested - my observations were intended to convey - to those unfamiliar with that area of Tampa - one can be lulled into a false sense of security in Tampa.

Your observations regarding million dollar homes near the location of the attack tends to reinforce that notion.

In my experience, the neighborhoods can vary quite rapidly in Tampa - that can be a bit unusual for a newcomer.

I recently looked for housing in the area and was struck by how rapidly the neighborhoods change - sometimes street to street.

The last time I lived in Tampa I ended up on Harbour Island - downtown.
