Corn on the Cob

So I saw some nice fresh corn on the cob at the market, half the husk still attached. Looked nice. Got it home, threw it in boiling water, 7 minutes, finished, a little butter, great. Was munching away and hit something "hard". Thought I lost a small filling. Took it out and looked, it was a piece of "shot" a nice round ball, probably #6,7 or 8 shot. Someone was hunting in those fields.... Not like I haven't taken my share of ducks and pheasant in corn fields. I've spit out lots of shot from birds I've taken, but never a piece of corn.

That's a first for me.
