I went into remove integrated programs menu, selected WMP and removed it, rebooted and then tried to install WMP9... it says that there is a newer version of WMP on my computer and then exits the installer (no prompts given).
Is there anything more I can do other than the really drastic things? I've tried system restores back to before I updates to Service Packet 2 but they fail.
