I went thru FLETC in 2007. They taught a lot of moving back wards stuff. I called it more retreat training. A lot of it was viable, creating distance or putting an obstacle between you and the threat.
One handed point shooting. Is taught all the time. Cops often only have one hand free to hold the pistol, using a mike with other hand, holding one suspect down...etc.
