Did Obama himself plan the release of the photos? I don't know about that, however no question at BEST it is an indicator of the type of attitutde that the admistration had. IIRC, President Bush did many events WRT casualties that never resulted in self-serving pictures released faster than you can snap your fingers...also an indicator that he had positive control over his PR people at least when it came to this sort of thing.

Ohhhhh .... Barry has positive control over his PR people as well. Just like that "leaked" picture in the situation room during the OBL op, as with these, who do you think "leaked" (ie: authorized) these "leaks" ???
Barry and crew should rename their administration the
TITANIC with all the "leaks" they've let happen, and the fact that we as a nation have "hit an iceberg" and are SINKING FAST.
