"Work has accelerated to a frenzied pace to try to meet a July 4 deadline for opening N.C. Veterans Park, Fayetteville officials say.

City Manager Dale Iman said contractors are working 12- and 14-hour days and weekends to get everything done before the downtown park is unveiled to the public at a July Fourth ceremony.................."

This park is "behind" the Airborne & Special Ops Museum - or if coming down Bragg Blvd right before you get to the Airborne & Special Ops Museum. So the Memorial Park, Airborne & Special Ops Museum and the new Veterans Park will form a small triangle at the Bragg Blvd and Hay Street intersection.
