You get your ass in the absolutely best shape possible, swim till you can't swim any more, swim underwater till your lungs feel like they are going to explode, then swim some more. Get used to being out of air and keeping going. You set your mind to completing the course, no matter how many times you have to be revived, and you complete your Last Will and Testament.
That is everything you need to do to prepare. The instructors will teach you the rest, and see how good you are at exceeding the standards.
I don't think you need any more details than that. Odds are, you will never get there, and the advice will be about as useful as how to climb Everest.
Now stop asking irrelevant questions and get to work.
