We (1-505 82nd ABN) did a jump just north of Boise, ID a few years prior to "Red Dawn". (I always thought it was after the movie!) Our OBJ was the ID National Guard base.

We took all the necessary measures and contacted the local media, newspapers, radio etc to let them know it WAS NOT an invasion and please do not shoot at us while we're under canopy.......
