I tell you what I still get looks from people when they ask for my DOB and I have to think about it.

"What's you're date of birth Sir"
"Well Officer 15-12..um wait...12-15....77"
"Are you sure that's your date of birth sir? Would you like to try again?"
"No Officer, see where I come from we do our dates differently...what's that....you don't believe me....oh I see"
