I'm in a "cross-flow-in" career field in the AF, and AFPC is saying I cannot transfer out of it until May 2014, at which time my target YG application for 18A will be up.
2 Questions:
-Does anyone have any strategies for convincing AFPC to change their mind and give me a letter of release earlier than Dec 2011?
-How hard is it to get Out Of YG waivers if I truly cannot get the letter of release?
Thanks,

1. No idea, short of extortion.
2. I wouldn't count on it. We have plenty of green suiters in the YGs we need. Exceptions are few and infrequent, AFAIK. You may be able to work an angle through Guard channels, if they want to give you a shot.
We sometimes have to live with our decisions, and the consequences.
