Then-LTC Howard was the 3rd Bn Commander in Training Group when I went through the FA 39 graduate program...he served in the 7th Group during the period 70-72...I don't recall him mentioning Vietnam service and he spent quite a bit of time with us...he is a very bright man and very competent...
