For over 10 years, I used to work 2 days a week at a local juvenille detension center, doing PT rehab with the little "angels". I can count on ONE hand the number of kids there that didn't belong there!!! The vast majority had NO parenting or parenting by example with one or BOTH of their parents in prison. They had NO remorse for what they had done, and were looking to "the system" to "take care of them!" The staff - who ALL have a direct pass to Heaven for tolerating these "little angels" - had WORSE health care benefits than these ingrateful POS! But WE owed them ...
Unfortunately, these kids and the kid in this article are becoming more and more common, and I totally agree that the parents need to be prosecuted, if not keel-hauled!!!
I hated Tuesdays and Thursdays back then, but it truly made me appreciate my boys, and the GREAT kids I used to coach even more!!!
